About Josiah

Josiah LaRow is a concerned citizen, just like you. He has a love for helping others and has been a passionate volunteer for organizations such as the American Cancer Society and Habitat for Humanity for much of his life. Josiah graduated from Winona State University (Minnesota) in 2007 with a degree in Political Science and has served the community in the for-profit and non-profit sectors for the last 20 years.

Born in Fairmont, MN, Josiah grew up learning the value of work and supporting your community. From an early age Josiah developed a love of helping others. Beginning with his church youth group and continuing with his volunteer clubs during his high school years, Josiah worked to make his community better.

Working two jobs, going to school, and volunteering throughout his high school career made him value working smart and working hard and the importance of real human interaction. This foundation influences his view of the world; individuals working together within their community can make a meaningful impact.

Josiah continued volunteering throughout his college life. He brought his passion to others and encouraged them to get involved. While working towards graduating Magna Cum Laude with a BA in Political Science in 2007, Josiah inspired and led his group of friends to raise over $25,000 to fight cancer through the American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life.

In 2008, Josiah moved to Fairfax, VA with a desire to work in the State Department as a foreign service officer. During this time, he also began volunteering with Ron Paul’s Campaign for Liberty, becoming a county coordinator, and participating in several rallies and events. He quickly decided, that, to stay true to his principles, he couldn’t work with the State Department under the new administration elected that year.

Josiah began work as a restaurant manager in 2010, bringing his passion for community with him. He leveraged the restaurant’s resources to provide support for the community through meals for first responders and partnering with local non-profits to support those in need in the community.

In 2015, Josiah joined the American Cancer Society in Las Vegas working to organize communities in Arizona, Nevada and Utah to support the fight against cancer. Over the next 6 years, he helped raise millions of dollars in the fight and mobilized hundreds of thousands of individuals.
